The DPH validated 2,013 extra COVID-19 cases in the previous 24 hours.
The Iowa DPH reported 15 extra COVID-19 deaths for a statewide death toll of 2,375. The website said 1,334 of the states deaths included Iowans with preexisting conditions.
The Iowa DPH reports 153 COVID-19 break outs among long-term care facilities in the state, accounting for 4,792 of Iowas total positive cases.
COVID-19 break outs at long-lasting care centers account for 1,062 of the states total deaths.
Of Iowas 99 counties, 87 report 14-day positivity rates above 15%. 2 Iowa county, Lucas County and Poweshiek County, report a 14-day positivity rate listed below 10%.
According to the states site, an overall of 1,208,055 Iowans got COVID-19 tests.
