The Iowa Department of Public Health launches the current coronavirus data in real time. KCCI provides an everyday picture of the past 24 hours of statistics.As of 10 a.m. Friday, the IDPH website reports 223,544 verified cases statewide because Iowas break out began.The IDPH verified 1,266 extra COVID-19 cases in the previous 24 hours. The IDPH reported 37 additional COVID-19 deaths for a statewide death toll of 2,349. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 127,353 Iowans have recuperated from COVID-19. Of Iowas 99 counties, 85 report 14-day positivity rates above 15%. Two Iowa counties, Lucas and Poweshiek counites, report a 14-day positivity rate listed below 10%. According to the states website, a total of 1,197,773 Iowans received COVID-19 tests. IDPH reports 1,226 hospitalizations, of which 256 Iowans remain in intensive care units. Iowa healthcare facilities admitted 183 in the last 24 hours, compared to 193 confessed the day before. Of those in the healthcare facility, 141 patients are on ventilators. There are presently 3,260 inpatient beds available and 369 ICU beds available. Since today, there are 840 ventilators available. Iowas average reported positivity rate is 18.7% over the last 14 days. Of the states verified cases, 116,305 Iowans recovered.The IDPH reports 151 COVID-19 break outs amongst long-term care facilities in the state, representing 4,628 of Iowas total positive cases. COVID-19 outbreaks at long-lasting care centers account for 1,055 of the states total deaths.
