For 267 Iowans, COVID-19 was a contributing factor to their deaths.The site said 2,947 of the states deaths included Iowans with preexisting conditions.The Iowa DPH website reports 256,248 validated cases statewide since Iowas outbreak began, with an extra 1,239 cases validated in the previous 24 hours. The Iowa DPH reports 143 COVID-19 outbreaks amongst long-term care centers in the state, representing 5,832 of Iowas total positive cases. COVID-19 break outs at long-lasting care centers account for 1,131 of the states total deaths. Iowa DPH reports 749 hospitalizations, of which 170 patients remain in intensive care units. Iowa medical facilities confessed 95 clients in the last 24 hours, compared to 125 hospitalizations the day in the past. Of Iowas 99 counties, 68 report 14-day positivity rates at or above 15%.
