SLO County reports 179 new COVID-19 cases, 2 additional deaths – KSBY San Luis Obispo News


San Luis Obispo County is reporting the deaths of two more individuals who tested positive for COVID-19.
Health authorities say the 2 clients remained in their 80s and 90s. Both had underlying health conditions.
San Luis Obispo County also added 179 new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday, bringing the countys overall to 8,269 confirmed cases since December 17.
Twenty-seven people are hospitalized, including eight clients who are in the ICU. Another 1,606 people are recuperating in your home and health authorities state 6,568 individuals have actually recovered.
San Luis Obispo County has had actually 56 deaths attributed to COVID-19.

The area of 26 additional cases is under investigation, and another 10 are noted as “other,” which includes communities with fewer than 5 cases. The Public Health Department is not recognizing those locations.
Community COVID-19 screening websites are currently open up to the general public in San Luis Obispo, Paso Robles, Morro Bay, Grover Beach, and Nipomo.
