I dont get distressed when my video game characters go or drink to bars– breaking my sobriety in a game is not the very same to me as breaking it in real life– but having the option wrested from me can advise me of the compulsive habit my drinking once was.
My sobriety made me hyper-aware of an early Cyberpunk scene where a beverage was put for my character V. I braced myself for my character to drink, only to find throughout the course of our interaction that I was never ever forced to choose the beverage up.

I had comparable liberty in other scenes in which drinks were put for me.
